We used to post more photos of our kiddos on here, then when we looked back and realized, it was really when Davis was the only kiddo that we had the time to do that. Now that we have a grand total of 4 kids, they seem to never make the blog. So today, we wanted to take a few minutes and share their most recent sessions with you. The glorious thing about our gig is that I (Sarah) photograph Ginger’s kiddos, and vice versa. It’s so fun as they get older that these sessions end up being the photographer and the kid…very rarely are there other chances for one on one time with them, so it doubles the fun!
Davis is FOUR (whhhhhhy?! hooooooow?! I mean look at his darling 3 year old session, he was so tiny), now that we’re past that…I’ve decided four is epic. This session was hands down my favorite session with him ever. We had a great time exploring, getting “coffee”, hitting the park and just watching him be him…love it!
Howie. Mr. H. Howie Baby. This guy, what a perfect addition he is to this craziness that we call life. He is full of determination and independence; he is athletic and silly and there is no one in the world that eats snacks with such gusto and personality! I can’t even believe I’m posting his 18 month session, and even more unnerving that we’re sliding in quickly to his second birthday. It goes too fast, they are never as small again as they are now, nor have ever been as big before as they are now. It’s an incredible tension to hold, it’s beautiful and heartbreaking in the same breath. Okay, again with the mush…for this session, Ginger set up a spot for us in the yard that was a nod to his camping birthday and a final ode to his long baby hair (great shirt Sprinkle The Kindness)!
And why should Howie, our darling Mr. H, be allowed a session without uninvited guests? Being the youngest has it’s elements, and he manages the snack stealers, photo crashers, with such ease and grace. What a great guy!
And so it goes, time marches on…rather we’re ready or not these kids are growing up fast!
“Time is very slow for those who wait;
very fast for those who are scared;
very long for those who lament;
very short for those who celebrate; but for those who love, time is eternal.”
– William Shakespeare
