While everyone else on the internet was writing their New Year posts Sarah and I were both finishing up our Christmas celebrations and settling quietly into 2015. I debated even writing a New Years post since we are weeks away from January 1 but it’s always better late than never, right?
This 1/1 CES celebrated it’s 5th anniversary! We can’t believe it has been 5 years since we began dreaming and making plans for piece of our lives. So many things have changed since our first year, both personally and professionally. And even though we continue to learn and refine our craft we are both really proud of how far our portfolio has come since those early days. There are so many wonderful things that have emerged from CES since it’s inception that it is impossible to put it into list form. But one thing is for certain: we aren’t going anywhere anytime soon!
This year we have been chosen to photograph several really awesome couple’s weddings & engagements. (We again find ourselves blessed by the clients we get to work with and blown away that people like us as much as we like them!) In addition to weddings we’ve decided to ‘let our hair down’ a bit here on the blog. In case you guys didn’t know this about us, we do have interests outside of photography and weddings. :) We like party planning and decorating, which has been seen here on the blog several times. We also really like to craft. For Christmas we decided that we would make each other’s gifts. We LOVED it – it was SO much fun making the gifts (and receiving them of course!). We had so much fun making all of the gifts that we’ve decided to continue this year and potentially show case some of our hobby adventures on the blog. We hope you will stick with us, follow along, and COMMENT!
Since no post would be complete (at least on this blog) without pictures we thought we’d share a few of what we exchanged for Christmas!
Sarah made me a marbled set of note cards with a custom envelope, a cowl scarf, and a set of 2 watercolor wreaths.
Shout out to her mother in law for helping with the water coloring!
Sarah recieved a custom painted tote, “All I need is coffee & Jesus” – so true! Then some leather pieces, a tassel keychain and a leather clutch.
Happy (belated) New Year! We’re looking forward to all the adventures 2015 has in store for us. What are your plans for this year?
